Bikes For Reading Summer Contest: A Partnership w/ Lewisville ISD

Who are the Partners

Consolidated Insurance Markets has partnered with Lewisville ISD by creating a Bikes for Reading Summer Contest for SOAR Academy Students.

What is SOAR Academy

SOAR Academy is a summer language enrichment program, by Lewisville ISD, for Supporting Overall Academic Readiness for English Language Learners. Students are presented opportunities to enrich their English through varies outlet, including fun projects, during the month of June! The program is open to students grades 6-11.

How the Contest Works

SOAR Academy students are encouraged to read throughout the program. Reading is tracked in 15 minute increments, or “steps”. One page contains 15 “steps”. For every sheet a student completes they are awarded a chance in the raffle. 15 sheets = 15 chances. 

A winner will be drawn from each grade level and take home their brand new bikes after the programs Showcase Day!
